River Anatomy
Retracing our steps, we made it back to the river’s edge that winter. I had swam in the river with my aunt and cousins only a few months ago. Now, cold and grey, it almost was hard to remember where I had seen that grey sliver of earth within the brown soil.
River anatomy is about going back to the source. Funded by MobiliseSME, we partnered with Atelier Lucie to research local materials in product design. We relied only on river clay sourced from 5 different locations along the Garonne River, near my family’s home in Grenade, France.
The result was a set of bowls and vases that reflect beautifully the changing seasons and wildness of the countryside.
